NOY, Kate Rebecca

1864 - 1901

Born at Ipswich in 1864 and baptised at St Clements Church, Ipswich on 30 July 1865, daughter of Isaac Noy, a shipbroker, and his wife Louisa. In 1881 a16 year old pupil teacher, living at 49 Key Street, Ipswich with her parents, Isaac 49 and Louisa 51, with four sibling sisters, Louisa M. 18, Alice H. 14 and Laura G. 11, all born at Ipswich. She studied at Ipswich School of Science & Art and in 1880 gained her certificate in freehand drawing. She married at Ipswich in 1888, Josiah Surtan Richardson and in 1891 a 26 year old at Delvins House, East End Road, Fulham, London with her 31 year old husband Josiah, a commercial clerk, this was the home of her father-in-law, 56 year old Josiah Richardson, a bank mangager and his family. Kate died at Holborn, London in 1901, aged 37.
