Anthony J. Hatt was born at Bromley, Kent in 1947, son of Charles Henry Hatt (24 April 1907-30 September 1996) and his wife Doris Nellie née Willingham (13 July 1910-1986), who married at Lewisham, London in 1935. An accomplished watercolour artist, living and working in Suffolk whose work has been commissioned and published over many years. Much of his work is inspired by the light and landscape of Suffolk and the surrounding coast and seas and he is fascinated by the elusive imagery of the ever-changing reflections on the restless surface of water in the sea and rivers and his sense of humour is apparent in his witty food paintings. Tony has a Suffolk watercolour paintings background and is a member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists and exhibits at Burgh House, Hampstead and in Suffolk at the Aldeburgh Gallery and the Spiral Gallery, Debenham and when not painting runs a successful graphic design business with his partner Annie Owen at Waddlegoose Barn, Kenton Road, Debenham, Stowmarket, Suffolk.
