PALMER, Bridget

Bridget Palmer a self-taught artist working in oils, acrylics, and watercolour. Her paintings start off with her then favourite colour, sometimes starting by covering the canvas with just that colour, the canvas, the colours, the brushes, and the marks made eventually make a finished piece. Her passion for painting abstracts is for the form and balance of the finished artwork and the challenge this presents, working in acrylics and occasionally mixed media and oil paint. She formerly ran Bridget Palmer Art, Backyard Studio at Garlands, Clay Common, Frostenden, Beccles, Suffolk. She works out of her shepherd hut studio at her home at Ilketshall St Lawrence, Suffolk, selling and exhibiting paintings both from her studio and from local exhibitions around Suffolk and is a former member of Suffolk Open Studios.
