WEBSTER, Alfred Henry

1914 - 1997

Born at Bosmere, Suffolk on 12 September 1914, son of Samuel Webster (15 March 1877-1958), a farmer, and his wife Annie Elizabeth née Rose (15 May 1881-1958), who married at Bosmere in 1907. An art teacher he exhibited at the Ipswich Art Society in 1935 from Tower Mill, Debenham, Suffolk a watercolour 'Illumination-Wood Fire' and in 1939 an unmarried art teacher, looking for work, living at Hill Farm, South View, Debenham, with his parents, Samuel and Annie, and siblings Edwin Samuel (7 May 1908-1992) and Kathleen L [Southgate] (born 17 January 1916). Alfred enlisted in the Royal Artillery in 1940 serving during the Second World War and died at Norwich, Norfolk in 1997.
