REEVES, Madeline Winn
As Madeline Winn Skinner, she was born at Nottingham on 25 March 1889, one of the six children of Joseph Hall Skinner (April 1851-15 July 1917), a draper's assistant, and his wife Elizabeth Amy née Winn (1865-1952), who married at Nottingham in 1885. In 1891, Madeline was a 4-year-old, living at Varlow Street, Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire with her parents, 40 year old Joseph and 25 year old Eliza, with siblings George Hall 5, Norah Hall (1889-1891) and newly born Winifred Winn and by 1901, when Joseph was a 'foundryman', they had moved to 216 Normanton Road, Derby with the addition of two sons, Harold Hall 8 and Percy Winn 7, both born at Burton. Madeline married at St Pancras, London in 1917, Leonard Maurice Reeves (17 January 1890-28 August 1956), a civil engineer. As Mrs Madeline Winn Reeves she is noted as an exhibitor at the Ipswich Art Club from Quayside, Waldringfield, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 1937. In 1939, she was living at Waldringfield with her husband Leonard, together with a Winifred W. Paddy, an unpaid domestic help. Madeline Winn Reeves died at Yolande House, Aldeburgh, Suffolk on 7 August 1977 and buried in All Saints Church, Waldringfield beside her husband.
