NORWICH ART UNION
Norwich Art Union seems to have been founded in 1868 as a sort of a lottery by shares of one shilling [5p] each. On 3 September 1870 it was announced that the third annual drawing 'on 29 September 1870 Chief Prizes. Paintings in oil or watercolour, selected by the prize holder from any Norwich exhibition of modern artists. Claude Lorraine Nursey was hon. sec. in 1870.
