BERRY, Owen

Owen John Berry was born at Ipswich in February 1988, son of Mark John Berry and his wife Beverley J. née Edwards, who married at Ipswich in 1987. Owen studied Art and Design at Northgate High School, Ipswich and received a foundation degree in Art and Design from Suffolk College and in 2011 graduated from Colchester Institute in 3D Design and Craft. His work comprises of both modern and traditional styles ranging from local landscapes to Ben Nicholson's and Jackson Pollock's inspired modern works, primarily in the medium of oils and mixed media. He has exhibited at the Cinema Gallery, Aldeburgh; Angel Gallery, Lavenham and Vintage 46, Wickham Market. In 2003 he founded his framing career and is the owner of MF Gallery and Framing in St Helen's Street, Ipswich. Owen has since expanded his knowledge to become one of the most skilled and knowledgeable framers in East Anglia, with his own interest in the arts helping to provide fresh picture framing ideas.
