REYNOLDS, Owen Blair

1904 - 1941

Born at 10 Tor Gardens, Kensington, London in 1904, son of Thomas Blair Reynolds, civil engineer, and his wife Mabel Edith née Galsworthy, who married at St Pancras, London in 1897. In 1911, a 6 year old living at Kensington with his parents, 50 year old Thomas Blair and 39 year old Mabel Edith, with sibling sister Veronica Meredith Reynolds 3, they also had a visitors, 45 year old artist painter William Leonard Brickman and his wife Viola, and they retained five indoor servants. A landscape painter who travelled, to Algiers in 1928 and to South Africa in 1930, for his work which he exhibited at the Arlington Gallery, Birmingham Royal Society of Artists, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool; the Royal Academy, Royal Society of British Artists and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters 1927-1938 from London in 1927 and from Long Melford, Suffolk 1933. He died at Long Melford in 1941.
