4PRINTMAKERS
4PRINTmakers are a group of women artists who have come together to share work and practice. Working as an artist is a solitary pursuit, whereas joining together as a group has helped to inspire, encourage, and motivate them. Each member comes from a different artistic background: ceramics, graphics, textiles, painting, and community arts, but have found common ground in printmaking. Having met at Gainsborough's House Print Workshop in Sudbury they have individually developed different styles as printmakers and use a range of techniques including etching, linocut, woodcut, screen printing and collage. This variety within the group contrasts and yet in no way conflict their differing styles which are complimentary. The group includes Anne Townshend and Miranda Chapman.
