Peter Beeson

Peter M. Beeson studied wildlife illustration in South Wales for four years covering many aspects of art and on leaving college worked for some ten years in various schools for children with Special Educational Needs. Since 1995 he has continued to pursue his art around his household duties. Peter is influenced by the wildlife around the Suffolk countryside spending many hours walking and observing the wildlife and has been a volunteer working on some of the best wildlife reserves in Suffolk, and local ornithologists' groups have used his black and white line drawings in various publications. Peter was introduced to the process of etching whilst at college and is a long-standing member of the Sudbourne Park Printmakers with much of his work being produced using the antique etching and relief presses. He has worked for various wildlife organisations including a touring wildlife exhibition in Hampshire and has won awards for work which were exhibited in the Mall Galleries London. A member of the Ipswich Art Society and has also shown at Sudbourne Park; the Suffolk Show; Butley Galleries; Chambers Gallery Ipswich and elsewhere and has completed many commissions.
