BALLROOM ARTS GALLERY
BallroomArts formerly Peter Pears Gallery, is a dramatic new project space for the arts and events in Aldeburgh, a much loved and famous Suffolk seaside town known for its many cultural connections and stunning shingle beach. Located between the High Street and the beach this historic building was redesigned and renovated in 2021 to provide two distinctive open plan project spaces for year-round exhibitions and events. Ballroom Arts Gallery is linked by an archway to 152 High Street Aldeburgh and sits within the Aldeburgh Conservation Area and the Suffolk Coasts & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Since opening in September 2021, Ballroom Arts has proved to be a successful venture for both exhibitors and visitors. The street level Courtyard Gallery is perfect for small to medium exhibitions and events, it offers around 52m2 of hanging space, with natural light and overhead spots, plinths and a STAS wall hanging system with The Ballroom, a large, bright project space on the first floor offering in total 190mē of hanging area, an east facing bay window, west facing windows and use of facilities on the ground floor. The Ballroom and the Courtyard Gallery are available to rent on a weekly basis.
