HALL, Michael C. J.

1951 - ?

Born in London in 1951, son of Charles Albert Hall (1913-2001). Educated at Northgate Grammar School, Ipswich and attended the Ipswich School of Art and the Maidstone College of Art until 1974. A member of the Ipswich Art Club from 1971 and during 1971-1974 gained first, second and third prizes in the Anna Airy Award. He concentrated on etching and his watercolour & pencil 'Victorian Wax Doll' was exhibited at the centenary exhibition in 1974 and he exhibited from 130 Henley Road, Ipswich in 1977, three pictures 'That Sound that your Hear is the Sea', 'Stone Jars with Dead Flowers' and 'Cavendish Place-July' and in 1978 he exhibited three paintings 'Granada', 'Farewell to Student Days' and 'Still Life' and in 1980 he exhibited from the same address three pictures 'October', 'Churchyard, Clermont-Dessous' and 'Ruin, Clermont-Dessous'.
