ROBERTS, Miss Susanna Maria

Born on 11 April and baptised at Haverhill St Mary, Suffolk on 15 April 1823, daughter of Revd Robert Roberts, vicar of St Mary's, and his wife Emily née Nottidge, who married at Wixoe, Suffolk on 26 October 1819. Of Haverhill, Suffolk. In 1851 a 27 year old living at High Street, Haverhill, with her parents, 63 year old Robert and 56 year old Emily, with six siblings Robert L. N. 29, Louisa C. 26, Priscilla 23, Alice M. 20, William C. 18 and Josias P. 15. As Miss S Roberts she exhibited from Haverhill two watercolours at the Royal Society of British Artists in 1851 'St David's Day' and 'Windsor Castle from the Forest'. She married at Haverhill in 1871 William le Mottez from the Channel Islands [or Charles Beavis] and then seems to have disappeared.
