GODDARD, Jack

1906 - 1984

Jack Goddard, was born at Lowestoft, Suffolk on 1 December 1906, son of James William (or William James) Goddard, a house painter, and his wife Catherine née Harvey, who married at Lowestoft in 1903. In 1911, a 4 year old, living at 26 Lorne Road, Lowestoft with his parents 39 year old William James Goddard and 29 year old Catherine, with his elder sibling, 7 year old Dorothy Goddard. Educated at Lovewell School, Kirkley, Lowestoft and on his admittance in 1912 his birth year is given as 1907. He married at Lowestoft in 1934, Trixie Bridgeman Nora Eugene Mothersole (1903-1995). In 1939, a pork butcher living at 215 London Road South, Lowestoft, with his wife Trixie, born Mildenhall, Suffolk. A member and exhibitor at the Norfolk & Norwich Art Circle 1946-1958 from Pakefield, Lowestoft, and exhibited at the Lowestoft Art Group at St John's Church Hall in 1960 'Angel Hill, Bury St Edmund's'. He died at 258 London Road South, Lowestoft on 16 March 1984.
