Born at Torquay, Devon in 1948, her mother's maiden name was Cox. Lindsay studied at Guildford High School 1954-1965 gaining a BA(Hons), Fine Art and studied design at Chelsea School of Art 1973-1976, gaining an education certificate from Garnett College 1978-1979 and an honours degree by independent study at Suffolk College, Ipswich 1993-1995, lecturing there on drawing and visual research from 1984 until 1992. A lecturer in Drawing, Visual Studies, Ideas-Generation and Packaging/3D Graphics on the BA Graphic Design course at University Campus Suffolk 19922010. A member and exhibitor at the Suffolk Group and of the Ipswich Art Society where she exhibited from 8 Severn Gardens, Burgh, Woodbridge, Suffolk in 2006, four pastels 'Inside V', 'Jug on Sill II', 'Inside VI' and 'Kitchen Theatre I'. Light and structure seem to be the two enduring elements in her work, whatever the medium or context and colour drawings of unpeopled architectural interiors. Her drawings are therefore as conceptual as they are visual, sometimes invoking subtle contemplative or psychological possibilities. Mixed shows included Spaces, Aldeburgh Festival 1990; Summer Show, Galerie Lughlen, Amsterdam 1995 and 10sion Box Gallery, Tattingstone, Suffolk. She married at Stepney, London in 1982, Esmond Bingham [q.v.] and in 2004 shared an exhibition with her husband at North House Gallery, Manningtree and donated a work to the 'Laxfield Secret Postcard Auction in 2014. She lived at Burgh, near Ipswich.
