Michele Webber

Born in the Enfield district, Middlesex in 1967, daughter of Charles A. Webber and his wife Patricia M. née Boon, who married in SW Essex in 1964. Her education was interrupted by frequent family house moves and her desire to become an artist was discouraged but Michele spent much of her spare time drawing pictures of animals and ‘80’s pop stars. After various unsuitable jobs she returned to art when her affinity to watercolours was discovered. Although having no formal art training, she has studied under several professional artists including botanical artist Christopher Ryland [q.v.], and Michele’s work now includes printmaking, mixed-media and mosaic, but watercolour remains her favourite medium. She works from her garden studio and now includes teaching art classes and courses in her portfolio. She is a published illustrator, writing art business and tuition articles online being published in 'Craftseller' magazine. A member of the Society of East Anglian Watercolourists, Colchester Art Society, Gainsborough’s House Printmakers and a profession associate of the Society of All Artists. She exhibits each year in a variety of open and mixed exhibitions including the 'Vision of Sudbury' show. She currently lives with her partner and teenage daughter Roxanne, at Hall Rise, Sudbury, Suffolk. www.michelewebber.com
