GILL, Charlotte
As Charlotte Hall, she was born at Ipswich around 1783. She married at St Mary Stoke, Ipswich on 3 February 1809, William Gill of Bury St Edmund's, Suffolk. As Mrs. W. Gill, a member of the Ipswich Society of Professional & Amateur Artists from 1834, where she was tutored by Henry Davy. In 1851, a 67-year-old wife of 71-year-old William Gill, clerk in a Fire Office, living at Bank Street, St Clement's, Ipswich with their two daughters, Charlotte 32 and Sarah 27. Charlotte Gill was buried in Ipswich Cemetery on 30 January 1861, aged 77.
