George Farrow-Hawkins

Born in Ipswich in 1994, mother's maiden name was Farrow. George Farrow-Hawkins studied Painting and Printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art 2013-2016. He sees art as a means of being in the world and experimenting with a variety of mediums and techniques including marble plaster, burning, graphite, tar and oil paint, George is able to manipulate and consider in isolation from their everyday images into something rather wonderful. George's artwork takes the form of raw materials such as graphite and carbon applied to surfaces such as bedsheets, paper and hair exist as the residue of a lived moment and the visceral embodiment of the people and environments around him. George has exhibited at Freud London, The Cut at Halesworth, Suffolk and elsewhere, and donated a work to the 'Westhall Secret Postcard Auction' in 201 'Interior at Westhall' which realised 90 for the charity and the following year a charcoal drawing 'Henham Landscape'.
